My Computer Help, Please Read

Hey guys, i need a little help. Before "My Computer" use to look something like this:

...but now, all the icons have come together with no writting or or lines seperating them. They are just in rows of three. Please help me to get it back to normal.

Also, is there anyway to open internet explorer windows maximized already so you dont have to keep pressing "maximixze "?

Appearance of My Computer - most likely you have the view set to List and you want it set to Icons. Just click on View and you will see where to change it.

Open the window maximized (and this should apply to any application window) - open the window and maximize it. Then hold down the shift key and close the window by clicking on the "X ". It should now remember how you want it. In fact, any size you set the window to and then close it this way should force it to remember and open that same size next time.

On this forum, no need to put 'please read' or 'please help' in the post. They all get read and the first person who reads and has a suggestion will make it.

 

Regarding opening an IE window maximized. Ensure it is the only IE window on the desktop when you set its open preference and position.

 

Sometimes you have to hold click and drag the window to the desired size, then press the control key when you X out.
