My CD-rom icon hidden without any prompt

    every time i open my pc to WinXP my CD-Rom Icon is suddenly hidden from my computer

    i try i uninstall it but no change

    Uninstall any CD burning software to see if the CD ROM drive is reported correctly. There is a CD burner patch available at Windows Update.
