When attempting to open My Music folder, I get the above message I have searched the Web and found similar issues, but related to Vista. I'm logged on with an administrator-enabled screen name. I've tried moving the folder, but get error - access denied.

I also cannot finish the installation of iTunes, because the default location for it is in the My Music folder.

Any help greatly appreciated. (xp3, IE7, Sony Viao laptop)

Thanks, I've gone through the steps of this several times, but I am still unable to access the folder. Any other suggestions?

    Resolved music access

I finally got my issue resolved. Thank you Wiskeyman for your suggestion. I finally figured out that I needed to change the inherited permissions. I also went through each level of the file and changed the ownership, permissions and inherited permissions. It's great to have a place to get help & direction.
