This is an editor I was using to clean up audio files and save them for streaming on my web page. I am now getting the following message when trying to save as an mp3 file: Music Editor Free access violation at address 00000000. Read of address 00000000. I have no problem saving the file as a wav file. Any ideas?

Save what you have and then uninstall it and then reinstall it. Sounds like maybe a corrupt file.

M.E.F. saving files as mp3 problem

    Hi,
I have tried several times to remove and re-install but to no avail. I just removed it and am now using Creative Wavestudio 7. I can save files as mp3 with it. The M.E.F. was quick and very easy to use which is why I wanted to stick with it. Thanks very much for responding. I have a feeling the problem might have been in the registry but I guess I'll not try to localize it.

Did you manage to get it removed or it would not remove. I use Revo Uninstaller and let it get everything. It will clean out the registry entries as well. Do the FREE one. Works great.

While you are here, go to User CP near the top left of this page. Fill out your system info and be sure to save it. Do as much as you know about your PC. Helps in answering questions about problems people may have. Some problems require different things to do from one version of Windows to another. Some it is all the same.
