While searching for a Font File I came across a surprise that I'm not sure is normal or a big space hog. My folder C:\WINNT\Temp has hundreds of .TMP folders. Most are empty, but some have files or sub-folders with files. Creation dates range from 5/2004 to today (8/8/2006).

I ran Disk Cleanup and they remain. Is there a reason for this. Can/should the folders be deleted? I was always under the impression that any .TMP file or folder can be deleted.

The temp files and folders at these locations can safely be deleted, with the exception of the odd few which are currently in use .....

    C:\Windows (WINNT)\Temp

and the User temp files ....

    Start > Run > type in %temp% > OK
