I'm having some problems with displaying AVIs on my TV.

I have a Geforce2 with video out, and it's connected to my TV, and the TV displays everything else on my computer but if I try to play AVI movies they dont show up. I've tried both Windows Media Player and DIVX Player 2 and both have the same problem. When I play Mpg type movies in either of these programs they show up just fine. Anyone know why this happens? How I could fix it? I'd like to be able to view the AVIs without converting them with a program that would take hours and hours of time. Thanks in advance.

Did you make the TV output the primary display in advanced settings? Overlays usually only work on the primary display.
