I'm at my wits end with Netscape. I get a lot of problems with it, especially when accessing my MSN mail and clicking on my hot mail. I'm just going to put in numerous error messages:
    1. Netscape is unable to locate the server %Emsn%2ECOM.
    2. When I right click on the MSN Messenger, blue guy in the task bar for my hot mail, I get this error, in the box it says, "the
operation could not be completed because a default web browser could not be found. Please ensure that you have a web browser
and it is set to be the default web browser." On the actual screen, it reads Pragma: n. Sometimes it will read the same, but with
    Pragma: no.
    3. Netscape is unable to find the file or directory /C|/ Windows/temp/sfd7171.htm.
    4. Here is the message I get when I click on to submit my help letter to MSN on their site: Unregistered Eform source.
    DCOPS tracking code : E234GH216.76.156.16122222U
    5. Unknown status reply from server:1! (this one is all the time while surfing). The message is in a box and there's a yellow triangle with an ! mark.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Sue,

I believe what you are experiencing is a MS proprietary browser lockout. This has been an ongoing situation since the latter part of 2001, if not before.

Here's an older News article on the subject:

    Thanks Romona,

Read the articles, sent MSN more messages; but they just want me to use IE, and I prefer Netscape. I'll wait to see what happens.

One question you didn't answer; I constantly get this error message while surfing: Unknown status reply from server: 0!. It's in a Netscape box/yellow triangle and a black exclamation mark in it. Can't figure it out. I was wondering if it had to do with a setting or my Zonealarm Pro 3.0 firewall. I've had it for 2 years, but just upgraded to the 3.0.

    Hi Sue,

The error Unknown status reply from server: 0! is a server issue, and something you should discuss with MSN. You probably won't get much sympathy from MSN, using Netscape.
