I have a 98SE and 3 WinXP machines networked at home through a Linksys router. When I run Dr. TCP or TCPOptimizer to change my MTU the only machine that works is the 98SE machine. I set the MTU to 1500 but the XP machines are being reported as having the MTU set at 1400. I tried setting the router to use MTU as 1500 and even disabled that function...neither changes the result. Any ideas?? Thanks in advance.
    Jeff.

I found out what was causing my problem with the MTU. My XP machines have a Cisco VPN Client installed. When I uninstall it...the MTU automagically goes back to 1500. FYI
