    I use this I.M. for talking to friends who only use the application.Is there any way to configure XP Firewall to block the advertising pop ups Ive been getting lately?:confused:

    If you block the MSN Messenger ads, you'll probably also block the program, too, since the ads usually come in on the same port.

    However, a number of popup stoppers will block ads coming in through messaging programs. Most, however, include that feature only with their paid version. Popup Stopper Professional has that feature. It's $29.95.

    There may be some free popup killing programs that will do what you want. Search Download.com or Tucows.com for "popup" to see what you can find or browse through the links on
