My Outlook express 5.00 running on Win 98 SE has been working fine. Last night for some reason it started giving me the above error message when I download my email. I noticed it seems to happen at, or about, the same message number being downloaded every time.

I looked on the MSKB and found Q182022 which talks about that same issue, but with Outlook Express 4 and Win 95. I downloaded the 2 files they recommended and ran them (although that was probably not the right thing to do, since the article did not address my version of Outlook or OS). But I still get the same error message.

    Any suggestions?
    Thanks
    Kevin

Try repairing IE, OE is integrated with it. Repair via system tools, system info. Then tools, repair IE. Post back good or bad.

I tried repair by itself. Didn't work. So I contacted MSN (my ISP) and they recommended downloading the new IE. So I did, and ran the repair tool again for the heck of it. Works fine now.
    Thanks for your help.
