msiinstaller event id 11707 and 11708

When trying to install DTM Race Driver 2 i get a popupt wich says (when reaches 100 %) setup was interrupted before install completed, run setup again. In my event logs it says Msiinstaller event id 11707 and Msiinstaller 11708. What can i do?

What OS and service pack are you running?

 

Os Win XP with SP 2

Running the above operating system and service pack 2, going to try to remove SP 2, maybe it will work then. Let you know if it works

That will probably take care of the issue but man, I hate to see you have to remove SP2. Shame the game coders don't get their act together and code for SP2's increased security.

 

install ok

It worked properly after removing SP 2, but then somehow it damaged my internet socket, so i had to go to a friend and download a socketfix before i could go on the net again. Now re-installed SP 2 again, and everything works fine. What a man gotta do for simply installing a game. But thanks for the quick reaction, you will see me around here
