msiexec.exe

I am trying to reinstall my hp 1200 scanner all in one software after having all sorts of virus probs, which were sorted out at my local comp. tech store, and I keep getting the following window popping up as the software begins to install. At the top the window says the following "msiexec.exe-i aiosw.msi transforms=setup\1033s.mst-I* "c:\windows\temp\h..." cant see what comes after that as the window ends there.
I have downloaded a "scrubber" from the hp website to get rid of the old
install.(the problem was pretrty much the same before I ran the scrubber)
running win98 256 ram 40gig hdd
