Resolved msi installer error

    computer dell inspiron laptop 6000 xp sp3.. Quicken 2005 is installed. All of a sudden at bootup it opens the msi installer and says it needs to setup and install quicken please insert the disk. is none was bought online. In the event viewer it gives the errors 11007 and 11729. Where can I delete the call for this install? it loops for the install, hit cancel goes away and comes back in seconds and same process. always in front so cannot do much on computer.

    Welcome to WindowsBBS :)

    Try running the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility and remove reference to Quicken. To be on the safe side make sure you have a backup of your Quicken installation file and your Quicken data on an external device (USB drive,CD/DVD) as well as on the computer.

    Thanks worked great. Did not have to reinstall the Quicken.
