Since I have moved my Documents and Settings to another partition when ever I want to uninstall a program I generally receive a message that the related .msi file can not be found. When I search for it I can't find it on either the old or new location for Documents and settings. The latest one is Java, but it has also happened with Comcast Secure Backup and several others. Can these files be downloaded from the vendors?

    Welcome to WindowsBBS;)

Microsoft has an installer application called MSI...But moving simple doc files should have interferred with it...

OH...But if you moved Docs AND Settings I can see how you would have troubles...You might have to move everything back and then ONLY move your DOC folders.

rjb, when you moved your doc's folder did you do it in Windows, by right clicking the" My Documents" Folder Properties and then Move. The then selected location Windows will find, and if you don't like it you can simply return to the Default location.
