Resolved MSE not updating

    Looking at my Ma's computer and it sez that the last time MSE updates was May 26.

    Any chance that somebody can call Microsoft and tell them to turn their MSE server back on? ;)

    Hi elcajongunsfan. Microsoft has stopped supporting Microsoft Security Essentials on Windows XP so if you want to remain protected, you should switch to another 3rd party antivirus solution or ideally, ditch Windows XP completely and upgrade the Operating System on that computer to Windows 7 if possible.

    What happens if you try and update MSE manually? Does it find any other signature updates?

    MSE signatures are still being released. My (test VM) of XP latest = 17/6/17 (ver 1.245.1013.0)
