    Hi there folks,
    I tried to partition my friends hard disks and reload win 98 on it.
    It got so far then it gave me this message:-
    DEVICE DRIVER NOT FOUND MSDC007.

    any ideas about what to do please?

    I took a shot at this with first thing that came to mind. That sure is an odd name for the cdrom though; mscd007. I'm probably offbase here but

    This is mscdex.exe for your cdrom driver. The line is usually in autoexec.bat. It will spit out an error if the accompanying line that loads the driver is not in config.sys, or either of these guys syntax or command line is wrong or if the driver or mscdex.exe is not in the path reflected by lines.

    Are you using a win98 startupdisk to do this?

    google mscd000 errors
