I am trying to locate MSBACKUP.
I know that it is somewhere on the Windows installation cd (not automatically installed when window is installed) and has to be manually installed but I cannot locate it.
    Please help.
    Thanks
    John

You have to install it via Start, Settings, Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, Windows Setup Tab, System Tools and have a look in Details for Backup.

Select it and put your CD in the drive.

It seems then that it cannot be installed when using Windows XP, is that correcr? The reason I asked is that I used MSBACKUP to backup files before I reformatted and installed XP and now I find that the backup which comes with XP won't 'look' at the backup file I created in Win98.
