MS Word XP Freezes My Computer

    When I open Microsoft Word XP (or if another program, such as MS Outlook calls WINWORD.EXE to open) my computer locks up completely. This just started happening a couple days ago and I am not sure where to start because I don't get a BSOD and I can't alt-ctrl-del or anything since the computer completely locks up. I put in my office XP cd and did a repair of the installation but it didnt work.

    Thanks for any help.

    cjh03 - Welcome to the Board :)

    I suggest you uninstall Office XP completely, reboot, reinstall and go directly to Office Update and install any Service Packs for Office XP and to Microsoft (Windows) update and install any critical patches for Office XP and see if that solves the problem.
