MS Word opening overload!

    Using MS Word 2000, I get multiple (sometimes 10 or more) copies of the program opening whenever I start the program. I have scanned for viruses with the latest definitions from Norton Anti-Virus and found none.

    This problem first developed a few months ago while using MS Word 97, but only when I opened the program by clicking on a document. After being unable to solve it with 97, I upgraded to MS Word 2000 and now it seems worse and does it whenever I open the program.

    Any suggestions would be much appreciated,

    I would uninstall/reinstall. Also, Office has a detect and repair feature clicking on help. Might try that first. Post back good or bad.
