    Hi All,

Does anybody know if MS has an updated Security Update CD with SP2 on it?....I have the one that was dated from Feb. '04, and I was hoping that MS had updated it since then.

It sure would be a big help for us dial up folks!

    Thanks,

James Martin--The link you have posted is indeed for XP SP2, but that is not the same thing as the Security CD that MS offered in late 2003 and had all the security patches up to that point. (That CD is now so out of date that it is no longer offered.)
However, MS does now offer something which I found while doing a little searching on your question
    http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/tools/stkintro.mspx
XP SP2 has a lot of security features (programs like Windows Firewall, Popup Stopper and default changes to the Security settings in IE), but they do not take the place of the security updates (some 45 of which last year) that MS offers from time to time on Windows Update.
EDIT--I have searched around that link I provided, but cannot find that the new free Security CD is being offered, presumably yet. But there are a lot of other good links to get your PC more secure. And I expect the new CD will show up shortly.

    Hi Jim,

Is that a link to order a Security CD?

I clicked on the above link, but I could not find a link to the order page.

James Martin--Nor can I. See my EDIT in my last post. It may show up sometime this coming week. Note it is not quite the same thing as the 2003 CD, which was only a compendium of Security Updates. This new CD may contain them, but also offers some "Tools ".
