    How when and where does the error come up?

    Backup - make a copy of your pst file(s)...

    Might try->Help->Detect and Repair

    I'm using McAfee Total Protection. When setting up McAfee's Anti-Spam it allows the option to place a small toolbar in Outlook (or other email clients of your choice.) On the toolbar is an icon which will allow you to "add Outlook contacts to your friends list" to prevent accidentally marking your friends as SPAM. The error message only occurs on my laptop running WinXP SP3. I also have a desktop running Win Vista Home Premium but it worked just fine on that computer.

    *NOTE: My outlook.pst file doesn't appear to be corrupted since I have no problem at all viewing my emails in Outlook 2003.

    Yes. You're supposed to click on the toolbar icon to add your Outlook contacts to the Anti-Spam list.
