When I select "Help and Support" from the start menu, I get an hourglass timeout for about two seconds, but no help.

I checked "services" to insure that I did not disable it, and it is OK there. Is there something else to check to see if somehow I may have inadvertently shut it off?

    Hi keywester

I had the same problem about three weeks ago.
I was able to fix it by booting from the XP CD and
    doing an OS repair.
However if you only have a restore CD this
    might not be an option.

You might try System Restore, but it didn't help in my case.

Did you by any chance run EasyClean 1.7 recently? There is a bug in this which knocks out access to Help and Support - a registry fix here

Other possible solutions here, h = Help & Support

I also I had tried EasyCleaner before I noticed the Problem.
