   When I try to preview in MS FAX, it tries to use PhotoFinish which naturally bombs. I can not (find / remember / see) how to get rid of that association.
   
   Actually I can't find how to do any file associations in XP Pro.
   
   (Files that have been sent are viewable in the FAX Console.)

   Find your fax file - don't recall the extension right now and right click on it > Open with and select Windows Picture and Fax Viewer - if you hit the Choose Programs below the list of programs offered to open the file you get a list of programs - select one and tick the 'Always use ....' box
   
   

   Tools > Folder Options > File Types
