:( That has nothing to do with this! Adblock is for browsers, not operating systems. And just for the record, Microsoft just recently enhance add-ons support in Microsoft Edge. On top of that, the widely popular and very effective adblocker, uBlock Origin, is even available for Edge in the Microsoft Store!

It amazes me how strongly folks detest and disparage Microsoft over privacy when most likely they are carrying around the greatest threat to their privacy right in their pockets.

Don't forget there is a HUGE difference between privacy and security. Microsoft is NOT trying to steal your passwords or bank account information. They are not trying to hack your emails, learn your phone, Social Security or Insurance numbers. They don't know, and are not looking for your full name, date of birth, or billing address or billing information. They are not trying to track your physical location. In fact, if you connect via Ethernet, the best they can do is to learn where your PoP (point of presence) is. That's where your ISP connects you to the Internet backbone. In my case, that is 10 miles away in the next town over!

Your cell phone carrier, on the other hand, knows your real name and billing information, including your phone number and where you live. They know who you have emailed and texted and called. They know within a couple yards, where you are standing, where you have been, the direction you are heading, and how fast you are heading. They even know which aisle of the store you are standing in!!!!! And you are worried about Microsoft??? o_O

Even Google knows and is trying to learn more about you than Microsoft. And then there's Facebook.

I know what AdBlock is. The Article don't like me having AdBlock on is what I was saying. Should of maybe explained it better. When I went there last night, it would not let me proceed without allowing AdBlock to be disabled on their link. And you preaching to the wrong choir here about AdBlock. This morning the link is fine. It took me to Forbes. Last night it went someplace else first and don't remember where as I closed it out when it wanted me to Disable AdBlock for their site.

    Ah, sorry about that.

Yeah, Forbes is not one of my favorites sites for that very reason too. That said, I say skip Forbes. Why give them credit for something they didn't do? Espeically since Forbes writers, like so many so called journalist in the IT Press, love to exaggerate and sensationalize the facts with unflattering headlines just to bring attention to themselves. Instead, go to the horse's mouth and see the original Microsoft article Forbes stole from, Our continuing commitment to your privacy with Windows 10.
