Encountered a problem with Access 97. When attempting to use a wizard to create tables, forms, & reports, I now get a message Active X conponent can't create object. I also get this same message when opening the Setup Wizard in ODE tools.
I've been making Access applications for quite a few years and that version has served me well, but have not encountered a situation like this before.
    Suggestions please.

    Thanks Steve

It worked. The DAO was for some reason not properly registered.

 Little embarrased that I didn't find that one myself.
