Mr. B, in a previous thread, you mentioned that you were using Acronis True
Image. and that you didnt have the acronis partition.

What startup processes are being loaded for AcronisTI?

Some say all 3 processes are required, some have 2 processes. So i was
wondering, if you restore (and create(?)) images from the boot CD are these 3
processes needed to be running at all times? I know that during the day, they
will start (in the background) and create incremental changes. but since i dont
use the incremental changes at all, its a waste of time and CPU resources.

I'm trying to determine why my sys has slowed down. It seems to be more
noticeable when a program is starting to be executed. For example, Mozilla-
it used to up and running before i could get my finger off the mouse button
but now it takes a couple of seconds before even the splash screen shows.

    Thanks, Guy,

The only process I have running for TruImage is "TruImageMonitor.exe" and it is very small (724K). The Acronis Scheduler is running also but I believe that is from a different application. You wouldn't need 'Acronis scheduler' running if you didn't set the app to run at a specific time. I don't believe I need to have TruImageMonitor running either (since I do everything manually), but I didn't bother with it since it relatively small.
Have you checked for spyware and adware? Apparent slowdown for no apparent reason is a warning sign (check for viruses and trojans also).
I ran across your other post (in the XP forum) and added a note to that. I've got to go out for a couple hours (and 'play in the snow' ) I'll check back later.

    B
