Mpg's play in IE not in WMP or other player.

When I click on a link to an MPG or MPEG on a website, all of a sudden now it plays the video in IE. It opens up a new window and plays the video with a quick time plug-in on IE. How do I cahnge this? I used to click on a link to a MPG and it would open in WMP or Winamp (or whatever video player I was using), but now it opens in IE and doesn't work half the time. I didn't change anything and the file extensions are associated with the programs I want, it just won't do it. AVI and WMV's play in the player I've chose, just not MPG's

Anyone have any idea what's going on and how I can change it back??

Next time it happens, clear ALL checked items under 'Media Options' > 'Settings' at the bottom of the 'Media Toolbar'. Close the Toolbar and try playing the *.mpg again. It should open/play with WMP or whatever player you have associated with *.mpg's from now on.

Or, in IE go to tools>internet options>advanced and in the multimedia section put a checkmark in the box next to "don't display online media content in the media bar ".
