mp3 quality

I am a big mp3-fancier. Problem is that its not easy to find a high quality mp3 supplier. I mean high quality mp3 with BitRate at least 320kbps..
Does someone know some mp3 CDROM test program which allows to test BitRate - just display a real BitRate level? I want test some of my mp3 cdroms to test real BitRate. Sure, if the real level will be lower than my requirements, I'll just throw out this supplier..

The second question: what is best program to create mp3 from CDs?

 

If you're looking for a program that looks at the cd and then gives a report I can't help. But, if you're using WinXP you can right click on one of the files in windows explorer, choose properties>summary and it'll show you the bitrate of the song. If you don't see in the "summary" window, you'll have to click on the advanced button in the same window. Perhaps you know this already but I'll mention it anyway. A lot of mp3 players show this info if you play the song. MusicMatch is one that I know of. Maybe somebody else can come up with something better.

Need some opinions about the best program to create mp3 from CDs.

 

My favorite: CDex . For those really tough rips (scratched cd or whatever), Exact Audio Copy . It's slower than most but if you have a cd that other programs can't rip properly, it can usually get the job done. Both are free and contain no spyware.

What from these better if compare with CDex and Exact Audio Copy?

It's interesting, will Roxio 'Easy CD & DVD Creator 6' work on other PCs, not on HP or Compaq?

Personally, I prefer any version of Nero to even a more recent Easy cd version but that's my (and, however, lot's of burning enthusiast's) opinion.

In either case, a seperate program to actually rip and encode the mp3 is usually better quality as you can then often choose a preferred encoder (like Lame), instead of the packaged ones in the burning programs.

Cdex is known to be terrific software. I got used to another program (also free) called AudioGrabber. His website offers instructions as to how to install Lame as an internal encoder for AudioGrabber.

To make mp3 files from CD it's a task and to burn those mp3 to CD-R it's another task. I agree with Eck about AudioGrabber - it's very good, indeed.
Another very good and also very fast program is Easy CD Ripper (not free).
I shall try Cdex theese days.
After you've made the mp3 files, you burn them as data to a CD-R, and of course you suppose to do it using Nero / EasyCDCreator 6. Personally, I found the last one to be much more reliable than Nero and also able to put maximum amount of data on a CD-R, which sometimes it's crucial.

I have most of the software mentioned, and a few others. I use an older version of MusicMatch JukeBox Pro for ripping, and also for burning MP3 or audo cds. All the cd ripping/ burning programs work pretty much the same, but MMJB is easy and fast, and works well for me.
