Winamp (version 5.03) has quit playing wav files since i installed the K-Lite
    Mega codec pack.....

Winamp tells me that i need the mp3 ACM codec installed.......
I re-installed Winamp but no help there, same msg.
Anyone know where i can get this codec (free hopefully)?

    Thank You,
    savagcl

    LDTate, thanks,

I see a "Lame ACM MP3 codec" listed in the control panel > sound >
hardware > under Audio codecs > properties

The songs will play correctly in Windows Media player (but not winamp)....

    confused,
    savagcl

I understand, my daughter uses ONLY Winamp
You can do a Google search for mp3 ACM codec and spend the next week checking them all out
Hope you find the right one.

Went to the Winamp forums and found lots of help. Got the right codec
and (finally) got my 5.1 speakers (all of them) working in Winamp.

Lots of good info and help there. Never knew winamp had so many knobs,
    switches, buttons, etc.

Works good now, never sounded better, thanks,
    savagcl
