Mozilla Mail

After installing 1.7.10, and after deleting mail in the Subject-Sender-Date area, the text of the mail still appears in the message area.
Also when replying to mail, in the message area, if original message is quoted, the select and cut function on right-click menu is disabled.

This was a clean install, not installed over a previous version.

Anyone else having this problem?

No problems like yours on my install of 1.7.10. See if deleting the MSF files in the Mail Account folder might help:

First: Exit Mozilla, and open Windows Explorer to the Mail Account folder located here:

C:\Documents and Settings\user_name\Application Data\Mozilla\Profiles\profilename\*.slt\Mail\POP.ISP.NET

If no joy, then move the Mail in the Inbox to a temporary folder
Delete both the Inbox and Inbox.msf file
When Mozilla is restarted, it will rebuild these files
Send yourself a couple of test Mails and see if the problem persists. If not then copy the Messages from the corrupt Inbox to the newly created Inbox.
