When I installed Firefox on a computer with both a satellite and dial up connection, it will only try to use the dial up connection. The satellite connection is up all the time. I unchecked the dial up as the default connection.

Just to be clear, my question is how do I set up the computer so that Firefox automatically uses the satellite connection?

    Welcome to the Forum, pdavidson!

    pdavidson,

There is a setting in Tools | Options | General, for "Connections ". Those are the only options in Firefox. I would assume that the rest has to do with your setup. You might do better to post your problem on a satellite forum. This one is excellent: http://www.broadbandreports.com/forum/sat

I have no knowledge of satellite hookups.
