    One of the great add ons of mozilla is bannerblind. It is quite effective if you know how to use it. Actually, it's quite easy: you just need to set the size of the banners you wish to remove. It is under

    tools -> bannerblind

    My experience with bannerblind so far has been great. I also found out that the size you enter should be VERY close to the actual size of the banner(s) otherwise it won't work.

    I wonder if there is a way to measure on screen. So far I used a ruler then converted to pixels.
