Just finished downloading and installing this new Mozilla version. I had hopes that this version would correct the "go back" problem where when you return to the previous page you were on, the browser would return to the same spot in the document in which you left from instead of going to the top of the page.

Nope, that wasn't fixed! In fact, it's actually worse doing it on more sites than it has in the past!

Another thing that has gotten worse is the password remembering. I have several sites which I visit that require passwords but do not save them within the browser. Well, on previous versions of Mozilla, I didn't even have to type the info in as I just remained signed in on the site from the previous visit. Now, each and every time I return to one of these sites, I have to relog in. iwon is an example.

I'd like to personally email the folks at Mozilla with a complaint about all this but cannot locate an email address. I thought they were aware of the going back to the previous page problem but obviously did nothing about it in this version. It is quite annoying and should be corrected.

    Moz 1.7.2 problem

I've tried to duplicate your symptoms. I'm using 1.7.2 and have no trouble at all. Maybe you have some settings at fault? Mine appears to behave just exactly the way you described you wished it to.

Occasinally, I've found that to also be a nuisance. But, I've learned to live with it.
