I have been using 1.5b nightlies for a couple of days. As far as I can tell the GDI bug is still biting, no matter what has been said, by some. This applies for Win98,98SE and Me users.
The maximum Memory storage size is still the same, and I have learn to live with this nonsense. I have been able to do pretty well with the GDI, using the Clear Memory Cache or just Clear Cache of the prefbar, but one thing does not change. That is the fact that more Memory load is being appropriated. I mean that while 128MB of RAM were more than enough, to run a program plus some music. Not anymore. 128MB is the minimum requirement to run a program, and if you go to more than type of program, you will have maxed out, with no music playing.
I think that 1.3.1 deserves rechecking.
Anyone know of a way to release all the RAM which is taken up, without rebooting?
