This is the final release right? Can it be installed over the RC1 that I'm using right now?

    Hi shadowhawk,

No, 1.5 is definitely not the final release of Mozilla. There is already a Mozilla 1.6 in the nightly buildss. You can check out the Roadmap here:
    http://www.mozilla.org/roadmap.html

I wouldn't install it over the existing RC1. Uninstall RC1 through Add/Remove, reboot your PC, then install 1.5. You won't lose anything in your Profile. But having said that, I would back up your profile before the uninstall... Always good to have a backup.

    Mozilla 1.5

    FWIW:

Downloaded Mozilla 1.5, installed w/o a flaw (over 1.4.1). Works great so far. Might be a tiny bit faster than NS 7.1. Overall it looks & feels GREAAATTT!

I found one problem with Firebirt 0.7.
In Firebird 0.7, I can't save any image. When I context click (right click) an image and select "Save Image As..." nothing happened. No saving dialogue, can't find it in my HD.

I've been using IE all my life it seems and have heard a lot of good things about Mozilla. One question: Are there any critical and security updates I need to get if I try Mozilla? If so, where do I get them? Thanks.

Mozilla vs IE - Sec updates

D... few sec. updates (if any at all) needed for Mozilla (or Netscape). Just doesn't happen that often, if ever. IE has always been plagued with problems. Been using Netscape and now Mozilla for years. In fact, never really used IE even in the so called innocent ole days!

Seriously looking into how I can completely remove IE, Outlook and Outlook Express. Just haven't gotten to it yet. XpLite looks good.

    Dopey,

If there is a security issue either Netscape or Mozilla, a complete new Browser is released. There may be a workaround until the new Release is ready for download. This is few and far between, and there are no Security patches as with Internet Explorer, which is probably to what you make reference.

    Antony,

    Try this:
Delete, or rename the compreg.dat file located in:
    C:\Program Files\Netscape\Netscape\components

    See Bug# 211119

    Thanks Ramona,
And sorry Ramona, I forgot to mention that was Firebird 0.7 Mac version.
And of course, I can't find that file.
(I can save the images from Camino)

It was the Mac build problem only, and it is now fixed in Firebird 0.7.1.
