    re: praizing mozilla

It seems to me that Mozilla has become gradually one of the best if not the best browser in existence. and it's even more so for *nix platforms since it DOESN'T RELY ON TRUE TYPE.

No doubt that IE also very good but think about this. IE is only for windows platform( I didn't count the version for MAC since it always lags behind windows version ) but Mozilla is for every platform. This only point only has put it above IE. ;)

    bluesky,

Thank you for the input on Mozilla! It is so refreshing to hear some positive comments about the Mozilla build!

Rumor has it that Mozilla 1.0 is about to be released, although not officially through Mozilla.org. I just checked the ftp site and it isn't there yet. You might watch for it:
    http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/releases/

It is reported to be even faster than Netscape 7.0. My experience with 7.0 is that it is quite fast, and leaves Communicator in the dust.

Curious... are you using Mozilla Mail & Newsgroups, and if so what is your experience so far?

re: mozilla 's mail & news groups

Ramona. I haven't used new groups for a long time so can't say much about it. As to mozilla mail it seemed ok so far. I haven't manipulated it too much, just routine usage.

Mozilla is around the corner, according to mozilla.org.

    must I uninstall RC2?

    Ramona:
Must I uninstall RC2 before installing RC3? Should I do this now, or wait until the Mozilla 1.0 (not RC version) released?
    Thanx! Luckyfish:)

    re: installing RC3

The instruction on how to install mozilla is in the readme.txt:

    1. It isn't necessary to uninstall the previous version but you should install the new version in a clean directory.

    2. Unless you have some problem with RC2, you probably want to wait for the final release. According to mozilla.org, the party to celebrate its release will be on june 12. So it shouldn't be very long...

    When in doubt... do nothing.

    Hi Luckyfish,

You are definitely having problems with your current Version of Mozilla. I wouldn't compound them by uninstalling and reinstalling yet another problem.

If you do upgrade, my suggestion is always do a "clean" install.

    FWIW,
