mozill fire fox update extension

how can i update extension in mozilla fire fox i have download noscrip and adblock extension for firefox but it's in xpi extension and i can't update and it ask me to open with no idea how can update fire fox extension..

Before closing FF, uninstall the extensions you wish to upgrade. Then, with FF closed, double-click on the desired downloaded .xpi file. A requester should open, asking what program you wish to open the file with ... select Firefox. When FF is reopened, the upgraded extension should be installed. Repeat for each new extension upgrade.

The whole process can be made a whole lot easier if you download and install MR Tech's Local Install 3.1.0. It will allow you to install and uninstall multiple extensions from within its window. Very handy.

EDIT: I forgot to add that MR Tech's Local Install also works with Thunderbird, Mozilla, and Netscape.
