Moz 1.7, Mail, inbox

Is there a way to have mail open in the inbox rather than in the first account listed? I can't find an option for this.

 

Try:

Edit->Mail & News Group account settings->server settings

[X] Check for new messages at startup.

I am as confused as the "capt ". What do you mean by the "Inbox "? All mail accounts have an Inbox. The first account listed is your default account.
You can change the other so that you select the desired account to open, as your default, same location the Capt mentioned.

 

As a reformed OE user, I had an option to open in the default account inbox. That is, when I opened OE, it opened with the folders in the left pane and the inbox in the right pane.

I have learned from your posts where to go to start.

I went to the place you mentioned -mail and newsgroup account settings>server settings, right pane and clicked on 'browse' next to local directory. I selected the folder-inbox.sbd- and closed the Mail and NG program. When I opened it again, voila!, it opens just like OE with the inbox opened in the right pane.

Well, I had it all messed up. I ended with an inbox in the inbox.

I have redone my accounts and am back to square one.

How do I get the MaNG program to open with the default account inbox in the right pane.

Oh!! I get it. If the setting "check for new messages at startup" is selected, then when MaNG opens, it goes to the inbox in the right pane in anticipation of receiving new mail.
