Without getting into detail, my XP will be coming from the shop with a fresh XP install and baby clean. Have full backups for Moz 1.5 on CD. Would like to move to Firefox and TBird. Prefer to create new profile/settings, but I did not catch any "copy to folder" techniques in TBird FAQ. Does the same process for N7's / Mozilla 1.x's work for TBird?. I generally set up my mail accounts "identical' to previous view. Close, open, and close the program to lock it down and then copy in the non-indexed mail files. Any problems with this approach?
As far as FireFox, just install and set the settings to my hearts delight.. and copy in bookmarks, right?
    _______ BACKUPs ________
With N7's / Moz 1.x's I backuped the entire profile folder.
For TBird, should I do the same, just for simplicity sake?
What do I backup for FFox, since it would just be preference settings, correct?

    Hi Capt'n

Just keep an eye on the thread. Hopefully it won't be to bumpy, with a minimum of "oh no" - and- "why did I do that ". Like they say, getting there is half the fun.
