I have a WIndows 2000 Svr and I have 3 workstations on the domain. I want to move the user's 'my documents' to the server so that their files can be backup from the server. When the user creates a document and save it to their 'my docuemnts' it will automatically save to the server without the user knowing.

I have created a shared folder on the server called "User Docs" in there are 3 individual folders called "Bob" "Bill" "Mary ". On the user's Pc's I have their My Documents folder pointing to their spcified folder on the Server.

BUT I don't know how to give the correct user rights/permissions to the folders. I only want the admin and the user Bob to be able to view what's in the Bob Folder, etc...

    Need help.
    Bill..

I don't have a 2k machine to point you to but in the AD for the user on the tab where you can point to a login script the is a place to specifiy the user's profile location.

You can do this via group policy as suggested above or for example in our company we redirected my docs with desktop authority.
You should take a look at this Scriptlogic's solution (scriptlogic.com).
Of course, maybe in your case with only 3 desktops you can try to solve yr tasks with common logon scripts and gpo but if you have some tens, hundreds or even thousands of desktops and can't phisicaly visit all of them or manage with hand written scripts this tool is irreplaceable.
