    Hi,

How can I run a program(s) that run on the Adminitrator's desktop and make them all also run on another users desktop once you switch over to that other user? Some programs seem to be on User #2's desktop, while some don't.

An example is that Pop Up Stopper runs under my LOGIN (Admistrator) as a icon on the lower left of my screen. But, if you then do a switch to my wife's LOGIN, it is not running. How do I make it run there too? This goes for Ad-Aware and some other programs too.

    Thanks!

    Easy!

Look under "C:\Documents and Settings" folder, then your account "Administrator ". It will have a "Start Menu | Programs" folder with the programs in it for your logon. Select what you want from this folder and copy it to the SAME location in the user's folder (up two or three levels from where you are now).

    HTH,

    Russ

How do I get to LOOK for that folder in the first place? Sorry for the easy question, but I just want to be sure...

    Thanks again!

How about this?? I found this on another site:

Copy a shortcut to the program into the \Desktop subfolder in the All Users profile. That makes the icon available on everyone's desktop. But anyone can delete it from there too.

Or copy a shortcut to the program to the \Desktop subfolder in each user's profile. That makes the icon available to each user separately. Some programs seem to store specific user option settings independently when the user sets them for the program while logged on under their own account, even though they are using a shortcut to the program that was simply cut and pasted from another account.
