Hi, I'm using Netscape 7.1. I created a new Address Folder in Netscape Mail, however I cannot drag existing cards to it; there seems to be no drag function at all. There is no right click function for the cards, I see nothing obvious in the Menu that allows me to do this, nor is there a field in the card's property window for it.

So how is this done? I will restrain myself (as best I can) from a 600 word rant about the utter uselessness of Netscape's inability to build a simple Help file that opens a Help window like every other program I have probably ever used. Are they trying to re-invent a square wheel or what? Thank God for Windows BBS.

    Hi pcigno,

Left click and drag doesn't work, and you have no right click context menu when you right click an address?

    Pages on the Address Book:
    The Address Book
    Using the Address Book
Corrupt, or Disappearing Netscape 7 / Mozilla Address Book

I have to wonder if your Address Book is corrupt. Try this, but first back up the Address Book (abook.mab):

With Netscape and Quick Launch closed:
Open the Address Book in Notepad, and look for obvious signs of corruption, such as long lines, blank spaces or binary garbage like this:
    õ0OZ¬¬ÃŠÃ¡®ÃŽÅ½ÃPsTG¼{êAð†`÷ oOáÑZHoqâmâ€Ã¦â„¢¿

This is most likely to appear at the end of the Address Book file. If found, delete the lines
Click on File | Save, and close the Address Book
Now Open Netscape and the Address Book
Can you left click and drag Addresses to your new Address Book, and do you have a right click context menu for an Address?

    HTH,

    Ramona :D

Yes Ramona, there was a blank space in there. It seems to be working now. Many thanks. :)
