I'm hoping somebody here might have some experience using Broderbund MovieShop Select 6.5 for video editing. It came bundled with my neoDVD software I use to transfer VHS video home movies to burn on DVD. The problem is with the audio of the movies. It gets out of sync and doesn't match the mouths of the person speaking in the movie.

When I first download the video into the computer from the vcr, I save it in My Videos folder in My Documents. I can play it back on the computer at this point using Media Player and it is fine. The problem is when I open MovieShop and import the movie file into it. From this point on, the audio is out of sync. It will start out OK, but as the movie goes on, it gets out of sync. This happens before I do any editing or adding titles or anything.

If all I want to do is just transfer home movies and burn them immediately onto DVD, I can still do this sucessfully. I thought it would be fun, however, to play around with the editing software. Then, one of my kids had to make an 11-minute movie for a school project. We were able to correct a few mistakes in the movie, add title pages and credits, and generally improve the finished project. Since my daughter lives for all things connected to acting and plays and movies, etc. I thought she might enjoy using this editing software for both this project and future endeavors. Unfortunately, if we can't get the audio to stay in sync, this won't be possible.

So, while it's not necessarily life or death important, I would be most appreciative if anyone can help me make this work.
