I am using Microsoft Office Professional 2003 and my Personal Folder (outlook2.pst) in the Outlook 2003 is about 800 MB.

I am going out of town and need the whole Personal Folder with me on a notebook with Outlook 2003 in it. I tried to copy the personal folder from my desktop to my notebook. But it said the file was being locked, even though my Outlook is not running.

How can I pack-and-go with my Outlook 2003?

Reboot and try to copy again.

Reboot doesn't work because Outlook doesn't shut down that way. I figured out a few ways as termporary fix on it.

    1. create another email user and log on to it. Then my original .pst file is released.
    2. find it from my ghost backup drive and copy it.

However, as I also use the Business Contact Manager, the data there seemed not contained in the .pst office data file. I still have to find it out. Besides, my notebook is not powerful enough to run the Microsoft SQL Server Service Manger bundled from Office Professional 2003, so maybe I have to give working on the Business Contact Manager on the notebook and return to my paper base diary, which will not obsolete in next 10 years.
