This may be relatively simple BUT! I have WIN-XP home edition and upon installing NS7.2, no choice of where the mail should be saved was given - it is on the executive drive. Now, I got all the old messages there and all is fine, but it takes a LOT of space, and I want to move this to another logical drive. I assume that this takes some NS command that is not in the help or anywhere that I can find [and HELP is singularly unhelpful], but it is important that I do this to free needed space. It may need a reinstall of NS [but no choice of where??] or editing of the registry [which I am prepared to do, but I cannot find entries in the registry pointing to the default mail location. There is only one profile, default, and maybe creating a new profile for the usual user wiill work, and move the current mail to that, but help is needed.

    Welcome to the Forum, dumarest!

    dumarest,

You can direct Netscape to anyplace on your HDD for Mail.

With Netscape and Quick Launch closed:
First: back up your Profiles folder before editing
    See: Profiles Folder Location
Move the Mail folder anywhere, e.g., E:\Mail\pop.isp.net

    Next:
    Open Netscape Mail
Click on: Edit | Preferences | Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings
In the "Server Settings" scroll down to the "Local directory" field.
Remove the existing path for each of your accounts, and replace with:
    E:\Mail\pop.isp.net
