My C drive is nearly full, but the native data D drive is empty.
How do move part of the contents on C drive to the D drive to create more space on the C drive.

Depending on the data you have, you can move most of it to any other drive. Note that Programs & App won't function if moved and should not be moved by copying.

If you can elaborate what kind of data (documents, photos) you have, we could be of more help.

Thank you for the quick reply, just my documents, and anything else that could be moved without causing any problems.

If you are keeping your documents in "Documents", follow the following steps:

    1. Open My Computer.
    2. Now you have to move the folders to D:. Right click on Documents -> Properties -> Location. You should see something like C:\Users\user_name\Documents. Change only C: to D: & press Move. Select Ok for any prompts. This would move your Documents to D:
    3. Continue with all other folders like Pictures, Videos, Desktop, Music to move all of them to D:

If you are NOT keeping your documents in "Documents", just move the folder to D:

    Hope it helps

    Thank you very much.
For now, I shall mark this tread as solved, if I have any problem with it I will seek advice again.
