    :move c:\pagefile.sys to ramdrive:

    I have 3GB RAM installed.
I hope used RAMDRIVE create 1.5GB ramdisk.
I found and set: in Virtral Memory to set: min: 100MB max: 500MB.
how to set and move that C:\pagefile.sys to R:\pagefile.sys

but: which is first start begin?
is RAMDrive? or create c:\pagefile.sys ?

I no sure if R:\> not ready, that pagefile.sys can't create it.

hope nothing again READ-WRITE C:\ drive.

    cheers.!

I did this many years ago. After 2 big crashes and major data loss - I learned the hard way that it is a bad idea.

With 3GB ram, taking away 1.5 GB for a RAM disk doesn't make any sense at all.

Virtual memory/swap file is used when RAM depletes. So if you put the swap file in RAM that depletes it faster...

On XP - 3 gigs of ram is almost overkill....

I have my temp internet files going to a ramdisk and notice a nice little boost;)
