I have a BabyAT Super7 motherboard with AT and ATX power connectors and a jumper to indicate which you are using. Is it possible to mount a ATX power supply in a AT case?

    Hi Hotaru,

If it was dimensionally the same, the problem would be the on/off power switch. AT power switches were always-on/always-off and controlled the PSU directly. ATX power switches send a momentary signal to the motherboard, the motherboard controls the power.

Suggest you closely inspect the power switch system and if it could possibly be modified, it would not be easy.

Oh it would be very easy. The switch on an AT case is an SPST switch, and you want to replace it with an auto-release button or switch that is connected to the green wire on the ATX20 pin connector and to any ground. Normally, the ATX switch would plug into the motherboard, and the motherboard would trigger the sense lines on the PSU. What you could do is just tap the green wire, and any black wire, and attach them to a auto-release switch.
