10 days ago took my flash drive (16GB Kingston) to work to load some large programs on my friends computer (he's on dial-up). About 3 days later I was looking for my flash drive and horror crept in .. I suddenly realized the clothes I was drying also included my flash drive. I raced to the dryer, pulled out my work shirt and found flash drive still in the shirt pocket. Discovered years ago, most electrics / electronics are not harmed by water ... just make sure they are DRY before using. So I placed flash drive on top of my router vent (always about 90 degrees plus) and twice a day shook it vigorously and reversed orientation (top side /bottom side). Today, a week later I plugged flash drive into my computer and it works fine. Lesson I learned ... carrying anything electronic in shirt pocket is not wise ... unless you enjoy the essence "Mountain Fresh" aroma part of your computer cleaning experience. :D
