 I downloaded IE7 on my XP Home system. It fouled up, so I un-installed it. Now using IE6. On my wife's desktop (now mine) Shortcuts to secure url's (ie: bank login, etc) now generate a blank webpage saying the url can not be opened. When I switch to Firefox, these shortcuts will open. I've set security settings to default in IE6, but to no avail. It is most odd. Any Suggestions?

I ran scannow last evening. It completed without asking for the disk. Bottom line: It had no impact. Problem still exists. It's just weird.

I spotted a user with the same problem with IE7 at GTG. Windows Update KB928090 was the cause. Removing it solved the issue.
